Irritated airways? No thank you.

Unfortunately, cats often have problems with the respiratory tract. Particularly well-known and most common is certainly cat flu (against which the cat can also be vaccinated). For the optimal support of the sensitive respiratory tract in cats, cdVet offers various products.

Cats can suffer from various lung diseases. From a cold to bronchitis, to cat asthma, cat flu or even tumors.

At first glance, a cat's cough can be easily confused with sneezing. The cats bend over and expel air at short intervals. This can sometimes last a little longer. The head is stretched forward as if they wanted to vomit up a few hairballs.

Cats can pant when the temperature is very warm. They also pant when they are excited or feel stressed. Hard breath can also be an expression of pain and should therefore be closely monitored.

In this case, you have to differentiate whether the cat is sleeping and perhaps just snoring (yes, cats can do that too) or whether it is awake and seems to be having problems breathing. The latter is a case for a vet, and as soon as possible.

Shallow, perhaps even pumping breathing can be a sign of a respiratory disease and should be checked urgently by a veterinarian.
