There are a number of natural sprays and spot-ons that can protect a cat from an infestation or help in the event of an infestation. These can often be applied by the pet owner themselves. The important thing is to stick with it and not become careless too soon.
Typical locations are the ears, forehead, entire head and neck. However, the symptoms can spread over a large area of the entire body.
There are a number of natural sprays and spot-ons that can protect a cat from an infestation. If an infestation occurs, a thorough bath (if possible) can provide initial relief, but you must then continue to use appropriate products until the infestation has been completely eradicated.
In the worst case, a mite infestation in cats can also cause unpleasant skin rashes, itching or allergies in humans. Some mites also change hosts and pass from cats to humans. In such a case, it is referred to as a "zoonosis".
One sign is severe itching. Hair loss, papules, crusts and reddening of the skin are also common.
