Mineral complementary feed for horses, cattle, alpacas, camels, sheep, goats, and game animalsSea salt lickstone with bitter and tanninsThe regular intake of bitter and tannic substances is often greatly underestimated in animal nutrition. Wild species instinctively ingest them to effectively support their intestinal flora (intestinal microbiome) and, thus, their immune system. The bile flow stimulated by bitter substances is essential for the proper absorption of nutrients, as the intestinal milieu is shifted into the alkaline range, and only in this way can the enzymatic breakdown and utilization of food succeed optimally.Bitter substances are also of particular importance with regard to uninvited intestinal inhabitants, however, as they strengthen the body's own defenses against parasites in the animal's intestine and can provide a temporary, worm-hostile intestinal environment. In addition, tannins support the protective layer in the intestine and also impede the adhesion and penetration of toxic irritants. But also metabolism-sensitive animals benefit from a well-established intestinal flora. Bitter substances keep digestion going and support liver function.Expert tip: If you should notice that the cdVet Lick Stone Wild Herbs is licked excessively, this may indicate an increased need for bitter and tannic substances. In those cases, we recommend that you cover the need with EquiGreen WK-Mix and privet WK-Mix, respectively.Composition: sea salt, pumpkin seeds, walnut leaves, male fern herb, sweet wormwood herb, dandelion root, wild garlic herb, corianderAnalytical constituents: sodium 38,0%, calcium 0.2%, magnesium 0.15%, phosphorus 0.15%

It is hardly possible to cover the vital salt requirement through the normal feeding, because grass, hay, and grain contain practically no salt. Higher temperatures, moving or even sweating provide a considerable additional requirement.Salts control fluid balance, are essential for neural, enzymatic and metabolic systems and regulate acid-base balance. Deficiencies can lead to weakness, listlessness, muscle atrophy, and even severe digestive disorders. Therefore, a salt lick stone should be available for all grazing animals. Our cdVet Lick Stone Sea Salt Vitalis offers your pet a high-quality, natural salt source made from sea salt for individual self-supply. In contrast to the usual salt, sea salt still contains a number of minerals and trace elements, which are hardly found in `common household´ table salt, in a ratio balanced by nature. The sea salt for our lick stones is exclusively gained within the EU and is subject to strict quality control. The production follows the high European environmental and social standards. Our cdVet Lick Stone Sea Salt Vitalis is therefore at the same time a high-quality alternative to the Himalayan salt lick stone.

CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, one of the many ingredients in the hemp plant Cannabis sativa. In contrast to the hemp component THC (=tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD has no intoxicating (psychoactive) effects. CBD is unique because of its interaction in the organism. The process of extracting the ingredient CBD from the hemp plant with the help of chemicals is customary in trade. The extracted CBD was then marketed as animal feed. However, this type of production is not permitted for animal feed. Due to the lack of marketability, many CBD products have meanwhile been taken from the market. cdVet therefore did not have any CBD products in its range so far. cdVet CBD Oil is not an extract obtained with chemical additives, but a legally compliant, purely natural, cold-pressed CBD oil with a high CBD content. Thus the CBD Oil from cdVet is marketable as a complementary feed for animals and can be fed without hesitation to animals that do not have an MDR1 gene defect. The special cdVet cold pressing process ensures concentrated, purely naturally obtained CBD oils, which also contain the full spectrum of plant substances, consisting of terpenes, flavonoids, phenols, omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, minerals, and vitamin E. The psychoactive THC is almost completely eliminated and is of course below the limit value of 0.2% THC specified by the EU.Dogs with MDR1 gene defect: There are no reliable studies on the tolerability of CBD products regarding dogs with MDR1 gene defect. We recommend the following alternative cdVet products for dogs with MDR1 gene defect:Musculoskeletal system: ArthroGreen Classic, ArthroGreen plus, et al.Stress: Nerves Food, Calma, et al.
