For intestinal cleansing
Feeding close to nature, such as feeding raw meat (BARF), accommodates the physiological conditions of the digestive tract of dogs and cats, but this is often already attacked and pre-damaged by the previous feeding of highly processed food. In particular, conventional dry food (so-called extruded food) leads in the long run to the fact that the intestine can no longer work properly, because it provides too little digestive stimuli due to its lack of structure and the lack of fiber. In addition, its high carbohydrate content (below about 50% carbohydrate content is technically impossible to produce) facilitates the colonization of fungi, undesirable bacteria, and protozoa such as giardia. It happens virtually the same as when we humans feed only on white bread and the like: the intestine becomes fungal and slagged!
If one starts feeding raw meat directly to such a pre-damaged digestive tract, there is a risk of problems that should not be underestimated. These are, on the one hand, directly visible digestive problems (diarrhea, vomiting, etc.) and, on the other hand, the risk of an incorrect colonization of the intestine with undesirable germs, since the stomach pH after extruded feeding is often too high to kill them and there is no stable microbiome in the intestine to prevent colonization. Feeding poultry meat at the beginning of the transition in particular is often problematic because of the potential salmonella load.
To avoid these problems, it makes sense to support the digestion during the transition to feeding with raw meat in such a way that these dangers are minimized. herbaBARF GutStart combines purely natural digestion-supporting ingredients in a way that makes this possible.
Composition: brewers' yeast cell walls (MOS), willow bark, elm bark, coriander seeds
Additives/kg: Technological additives: bentonite (1m558i) 335 g. Flavouring compounds: oregano oil 4.5 g.
The total amount of bentonite must not exceed the permitted maximum level in complete feedingstuff of 20000 mg/kg of complete feedingstuff.
Analytical constituents: crude protein 10.2%, crude fat 2.0%, crude fiber 4.9%, crude ash 35.2%, ash insoluble in HCl 29.0%, calcium 0.77%, phosphorus 0.17%
Feeding recommendation: Add 1 x daily to the feed. Cats: 1-2 g/5 kg body weight for at least 14 days. Dogs: 2-4 g/10 kg body weight for at least 30 days. 1 half tsp. corresponds to approx. 1.5 g. Maximum amount of herbaBARF GutStart: 59.5 g/kg of complete feedingstuff.
The simultaneous oral use with macrolides shall be avoided.
