Your dog's metabolism

The metabolism of dogs affects the entire chain of nutrient processing. An important organ metabolic process is the liver. Irregularities in the metabolism can have a negative effect on the health of dogs. With our natural products, imbalances can be balanced, and the body can be supported in its own regeneration and recovery.

The energy intake should be below the energy turnover, so to speak in a calorie deficit. To do this, the daily food ration should be adjusted and psyllium should be fed as a supplement. The stretching stimulus in the stomach creates a feeling of satiety.

Milk thistle and nettle are examples of herbs that are known to promote liver function. Both are included in our "DogFit" dietary supplement, among others.

The most common causes of liver damage include an unhealthy diet (synthetic additives, too much fat/protein), excessive medication (worming treatments, antibiotics), infections (leptospirosis, hepatitis) and parasites (liver fluke).

Your dog's metabolism can be boosted through regular exercise, a balanced diet (small, frequent meals), sufficient water intake and herbs, such as those contained in our Toxisan.

Liver disease often causes several non-specific symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting and loss of appetite. Yellowish mucous membranes and eyes are typical of liver dysfunction.
