My cat pants heavily in the summer, how can I help her?

Short-term panting is perfectly normal for cats in high temperatures. The saliva evaporates during this process and the cat cools itself down. If outside help is needed, creating cool, shady places to retreat to is a good idea. A drinking fountain can also be set up. If the cat accepts this, combing out the fur and offering a cooling mat can also help.
