How dangerous is a tick bite for horses?

A tick bite in horses can be potentially dangerous because ticks can transmit diseases such as Lyme disease and anaplasmosis. These diseases can lead to fever, lameness and other health problems. It is therefore important to protect horses with suitable products (e.g. ZeckEx SpotOn/ZeckEx Spray) and to check them regularly for ticks so that professional help can be sought immediately if an infection is suspected.
