Mineral complementary feed for dogs and catsFor the demand-oriented calcium supply of dogs and cats when feeding raw - daily supply of minerals, trace elements, and vitamins plus extra calcium, powderMinerals and trace elements are indispensable building blocks of the body. Especially the calcium supply plays a major role in raw feeding. This can only be achieved by feeding sufficient bone. Fit-BARF Mineral offers a well utilizable source of calcium for daily feeding.Composition: eggshell powder, maerl, seaweed meal, malt rootlets, grape pips meal, brewers‘ yeast, brewers‘ yeast cell walls (MOS)Analytical constituents: calcium 27%, ash insoluble in HCl 6%, sodium 0.43%, phosphorus 0,25%Feeding recommendation: Mix ca. 0.8 g/5 kg body weight daily with the meat. As required, it is recommended to double the feeding amount for kittens/puppies and growing young animals. 1 quarter tsp. corresponds to ca. 1.2 g.

Feed material (powder) for dogs and catsFor the demand-oriented supply when feeding raw meatSpirulina, which in the true sense does not belong to the algae but to the blue bacteria, is not very impressive at just about 0.3 mm in size. But on closer inspection, it turns out to be a real powerhouse. Since its cells have no nucleus and its cell envelope is very soft, the nutrients it contains can be absorbed excellently through the intestine. When metabolized, it can have a positive influence on alkaline formation and thus on the acid balance of the stomach. It consists of almost 70% highly digestible protein and contains a variety of vitamins, trace elements, minerals, chlorophyll, and amino acids. This makes it also suitable as a supplement for increased activity requirements. The contained blue pigment phycocyanin can have a supporting effect on the liver and kidney circulation and intercept free hydroxyl radicals. Since spirulina is not a marine algae, its iodine content is rather low.Composition: 100% organic spirulina from controlled organic cultivation. Eco-Control-Center DE-ÖKO-001, non-EU agriculture.Analytical constituents: crude protein 66.5%, crude fat 6.1%, crude ash 8.4%.Feeding recommendation: Add daily to the feed. Feed material for dogs and catsFor the demand-oriented supply in raw feeding, powderPsyllium husks are a rich source of soluble fiber. The powder swells to many times its original volume when combined with water. So-called mucilage polysaccharides are found in the husks of the seeds and are responsible for the pronounced swelling behavior and high water retention. These mucilage substances naturally increase the feed volume and are thus excellently suited as a low-carbohydrate satiety supplement. These mucilages naturally increase the volume of the food, making them an excellent satiety supplement for dogs prone to obesity. Another positive effect is the increase in the volume of feces, which can be a support for recurring problems with the anal glands. Soluble fiber, as present in the psyllium, is also suitable for sensitive dogs.Composition: 100% psyllium husks, ground.Analytical constituents: crude fiber 7.2%.Feeding recommendation: daily 1 g/10 kg body weight. 1 quarter tsp. corresponds to approx. ca. 0.9 g. Mix 1 part psyllium husks with at least 10 parts water and allow to swell for 15-20 min.Since psyllium husks form a mucus and line the stomach and intestines with it, medications can no longer be absorbed well. Therefore, please give the psyllium husks with a time delay!Do not feed dry!

Most types of cat food consist of leftovers from meat production for humans. However, since humans do not breed mice as food, mice would have to be bred and slaughtered specifically for cat food. The rodents are also very small and do not produce much meat. Therefore, from an economic point of view, mice in cat food are not worth it: the food would be very complex to produce – and therefore significantly more expensive for the cat owner than other flavors.
Depending on its hunting skills, a wild cat catches between eight and twelve mice per day. However, it would only need about 6-7 to be full.
A good cat food contains one thing above all: meat! Cats are carnivores and therefore depend on a high protein intake through their diet. It is also important to feed them either fresh/raw food or use a high-quality can.
In nature, cats eat various small meals every day. These consist primarily of hunted mice, birds, fish and insects. The prey is eaten whole, including innards, stomach contents, bones and fur. This provides the cat with everything it needs to live: proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fiber and fluids.
How much food a cat needs per day depends on various factors. In addition to age and weight, activity also plays a major role. An outdoor cat has a much higher energy consumption than an indoor cat that just goes back and forth between the sofa and the food bowl. As a guideline: an adult cat of average size and weighing around 4 kilograms eats 210 to 300 grams of wet food per day.
