So-called mucilage polysaccharides are found in the husks of the seeds and are responsible for the pronounced swelling behavior and high water retention. These mucilage substances naturally increase the feed volume and are thus excellently suited as a low-carbohydrate satiety supplement.Expert tip: In case of sand in the feces, the total feeding amount can be increased up to 200 g daily for max. 7 days. Normally an annual temporary feeding towards winter for 30 days is sufficient. In case of very sandy soils, a semi-annual temporary feeding is also suitable for 30 days.Composition: 100% psyllium husks, ground.Analytical constituents: crude fiber 7.2%.Feeding recommendation: Horses: 30-50 g/L water.
